The historical Jesus will be considered at Lifetree Café on [June 21 at 1:00PM.
The program, titled “Who Was Jesus—Really?” features a filmed interview with Greg Stier, author of Outbreak, and Rick Lawrence, author of The Jesus-Centered Life.
Both men share their insights about the historical Jesus and what influenced their conclusions about the identity of Jesus.
Polls indicate a large majority of Americans believe Jesus walked the earth. But a smaller percentage say he should be considered the Son of God
Participants will have the opportunity to share their own thoughts concerning the identity of Jesus.
We'll look at what a limited number of reliable, non-biblical sources from the first century tell us about this guy named Jesus. Participants will have an opportunity to share their own thoughts and/or doubts about the information presented or other related information they can provide. As with all Lifetree Cafe events, this one will be stimulating and informative.
C.S. Lewis said that Jesus must be either a Liar, a Lunatic, or Lord. We'll examine the evidence to determine for ourselves where that evidence points. Come, join the conversation. Your thoughts and doubts are welcome
Many people tell us that Jesus speaks to them often, but always in a quiet whisper. We will conclude this session with an experiment that will help you listen for what Jesus many want to tell you. You don't want to miss this opportunity to hear directly from Him.
Admission to the 60-minute event is free.
If you are 60 years of age or older, come at 11:45 and enjoy a free hot meal with members of the center; then stay for the program “Lighten Up” which starts at 1:00PM.
If you are not yet a "seasoned citizen", come at 1:00PM for the interesting conversation.
