The Chosen

What is The Chosen? ▼

It is a multi-season dramatic series that portrays the life and ministry of Jesus through the eyes of the people who encountered Him.

Rather than retelling familiar stories in a strictly chronological or documentary style, it focuses on character development—showing the personal struggles, hopes, and transformations of the disciples, the crowds, and even the religious and political leaders of the time.

Its goal is to make the Gospels feel lived-in and emotionally real, highlighting the humanity of the people around Jesus while honoring the biblical narrative.

Season 5

The Stronghold of The Chosen ▼

Moves into the most intense and consequential period of Jesus’ ministry: His final days in Jerusalem. The season follows His arrival for Passover, the growing crowds who see Him as the long-awaited Messiah, and the escalating tension with religious authorities.

Key events include Jesus cleansing the temple, teaching in Jerusalem, confronting corruption, and preparing His disciples for what is coming.

The tone becomes more urgent as opposition hardens, betrayal takes shape, and the path toward the Last Supper and the Passion becomes unavoidable. Season 5 centers on the rising conflict, the deepening faith of the disciples, and the emotional weight of Jesus’ final teachings before His arrest.

About the Study

Season 5 of The Chosen brings us into the final days of Jesus’ ministry, highlighting rising tension, deepening faith, and the unfolding of God’s redemptive plan. Our study will use the companion guide to:

No prior knowledge of The Chosen is required—everyone is welcome.

Materials

The Interactive Bible Study Season 5 book is helpful but not required.
