In a world of breaking news and shifting values, Truth In Real Time offers a space to pause, reflect, and ask:
This weekly online gathering is part of our broader invitation to Experience Hope—not just as a church but as a way of engaging life with honesty, grace, and spiritual depth.
Each week, we explore a current event using lesson materials from The Wired Word that link headlines to Scripture. You’ll receive the materials in advance when you register, so you can read, reflect, and come ready to engage or just listen - your choice.
Our sessions include:
• A timely news story that’s shaping our world
• Bible passages that speak directly to the issue
• Thoughtful questions that invite honest conversation
• A welcoming space where your voice matters, a place where:
No church membership required. No perfect answers expected. Just real people exploring real truth in real time.
Researchers have found that at the end of life, the human brain might increase its activity in an attempt to stay alive or reconcile with death. Called "twilight consciousness," this phenomenon leads us to focus this installment of Truth In Real Time & The Wired Word on eternal life, resurrection and the importance of scientific investigation into death.
We believe Scripture isn’t just ancient wisdom—it’s living truth. It speaks to injustice, fear, division, and hope. It invites us to wrestle with hard questions and respond with courage and compassion.
Truth In Real Time is where faith meets reality. It’s where seekers, skeptics, and believers come together to ask:
Here are a few examples of recent Wired Word discussion lessons:
📰 Headline Topic | 📖 Biblical Focus |
---|---|
Whale collision off New Hampshire coast | Stewardship of creation and human responsibility |
Debates over AI and ethics | Wisdom, discernment, and the image of God in humanity |
Global refugee crises | Hospitality, justice, and loving the stranger |
Political polarization | Unity in Christ and the call to peacemaking |
Natural disasters and climate events | Trust in God, compassion, and community resilience |
Each topic is paired with Scripture, commentary, and questions that help us wrestle with how faith informs our response.
Whether you’re spiritually curious, quietly searching, or just tired of shallow answers, this is a place to Experience Hope in real conversation.
We don’t expect you to have it all figured out. We just ask that you show up—with your questions, your story, and your willingness to listen and share.
(Development Note: Needs to be reworked so people can gain access to the discussion information.)
